Scrabo Heli Club is a RC helicopter club and our aim is to provide a fun and safe environment for our members to fly. All Heli pilots are welcome at whatever level of ability.
Scrabo Heli Club was formed in 2007 and gained the majority of its members from a former surrounding club. We are a club of 10 with 3 junior pilots.
Now Scrabo Heli Club is fully affiliated with the BMFA we are set to become a very popular club.
So if you are a beginner or expert a warm welcome will be waiting. We are a friendly bunch and everyone is always more that willing to help others as we all need a little help sometime, we want to give you the right help, advice from experienced pilots.
The club supports all types of helicopters, from 3D aerobatic machines to the more detailed scale models and micro helis. We fly T-rex 600/700 nitro machines and electric, Blade 400, T-Rex 600E, also some of the scale helis are the Graupner jet ranger.. To relax on our club day we fly electric delta wings and 3D electric stunt planes.
At the moment we have 10 members and we are growing and always looking new membership

Safety has and will always be one of the clubs major key objectives. Whilst flying model helicopters can be fun, they can also be very dangerous when things go wrong. Our club has an excellent record on safety and will continue to monitor and change safety as needed to make sure all our members have a safe environment to fly in, all Scraboheliclub members are working towards their BMFA certificate A (Heli). Scraboheliclub fully supports the BMFA acheivement schemes.
